2024 5-star guard Imari Berry currently on visit to Kentucky; also considering UNC and Louisville
Kenny Brooks and Kentucky women’s basketball are hosting a very important recruiting target today. 2024 five-star guard Imari Berry posted a photo on Instagram of herself at a UK facility on Sunday afternoon.
Berry spoke with The Leaf-Chronicle not too long ago, telling them that she was planning a visit to Kentucky “in the next two weeks”. That time has come.
As a senior, the 5-foot-10 guard was named the TSSAA Class 4A Miss Basketball winner and the Tennessee Girls Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year at Clarksville Academy. Berry averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 points, 4.1 steals, and 2.8 assists per contest in 2023-24. She led her team to the state quarterfinals as well. She finished her high school career with 2,510 points, the most in school history.

This, however, isn’t the first visit for Berry at Kentucky. During the Kyra Elzy era, she was offered by former assistant Niya Butts in June of 2022, visiting Lexington soon after being offered.
Berry is considered a five-star recruit and the No. 16 prospect in the class of 2024, per ESPN. That makes her the highest-rated recruit who is still uncommitted. In fact, she’s the only player in the top 100 who is still undeclared. She is down to a final three of North Carolina, Louisville, and Kentucky.
