The dice are hot for Mark Stoops and the Wildcats, Kentucky adding yet another commitment on a major recruiting weekend in Lexington, this time in 2025 wide receiver Preston Bowman.

The 6-foot, 196-pound prospect out of Pickerington North (Pickerington, OH) is coming off an official to UK from June 19-21, one that went well enough for a pledge to come once the dust settled Saturday afternoon.

“1000% COMMITTED!!! Let’s get it big blue nation,” he announced.

Bowman is the third wide receiver commit for Kentucky in 2025, joining four-star Quintin Simmons and three-star Ja’Kayden Ferguson. The Wildcats have 11 pledges overall, Bowman, Simmons and Ferguson joined by four-star S Martels Carter Jr., four-star RB Marquise Davis, four-star OT Darrin Strey, three-star CB Andrew Purcell, three-star QBs Stone Saunders and Brennen Ward, three-star OL Tucker Kattus and three-star EDGE Nicholas Smith.

“They’re on the rise,” Bowman previously told Jacob Polacheck of KSR+. “They’ve been doing really well these past couple of years. They still have some improvements to make, but they’re definitely on the rise. I want to be a part of it.”

The Ohio product chose Kentucky over offers from Michigan and Louisville, among others.

What are the Wildcats getting in their newest commitment?

“I’m a big-body receiver, so I can absorb contact,” he said. “You would see me and think I’m a running back, but when you see me run routes, you’ll see that I can run routes for the way I’m built. I can run routes, my hands are strong, I can absorb a hit, and I can get it out of the backfield as well.”

On3 VP of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong submitted three picks in favor of the Wildcats in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine on Saturday, Bowman being the first. The others? Dayton Northmont four-star EDGE Cedric Works and Columbus Franklin four-star cornerback Dawayne Galloway.

More good news could be coming for the Wildcats.
