2026 four-star point guard Maddyn Greenway visits Kentucky WBB
Back in April, Kenny Brooks offered 2026 point guard Maddyn Greenway in order to set the foundation for that class early.
Now, come late October, Greenway finally took a visit to Kentucky. She was also at Kroger Field for the Auburn game (which… you know… that sucked).
At the Run 4 Roses event in Louisville back in July, Greenway told KSR that she wanted “to get to the University of Kentucky this fall for a football game”, so the timing of her visit makes sense as far as that goes.
When the time comes for Greenway to commit to her future school, the main thing she’ll be looking for is a place where she can play the way that she wants to.

“Obviously, I talked to [Kenny Brooks and the staff] a lot when they were at Virginia Tech,” Greenway mentioned to KSR at Run 4 Roses. “I love [Brooks] as a coach — their whole staff. I love how they show up to my games. That’s how they communicate with me. I love their style of play; I think it fits with me a lot how they play with Georgia [Amoore]. I noticed that this past year, and I really, really like [Kentucky].”
She added, “The family [is something I’m looking at]. Obviously, I’m looking at the play style fitting because I feel like I have a play style. So, I want to be able to play like myself wherever I go. I’ll also look at the types of girls [the programs] recruit, the types of relationships I have with them.”
If Greenway truly does want to go somewhere where the style of play fits and that family feel is there, then there’s no reason why Kentucky shouldn’t be in the mix when it comes commitment time later on.
