2026 G Mimi Thiero, Adou's sister, takes unofficial visit to Kentucky WBB
On Sunday, the Kentucky women’s basketball team took on the Texas A&M Aggies in Rupp Arena (a 61-44 loss for the Wildcats), and one of the people in attendance was Oumou “Mimi” Thiero.
If that last name sounds familiar, that’s because it should. Mimi is the younger sister of Adou Thiero, a sophomore for the Kentucky men’s basketball team.
Mimi Thiero is a 6-4 guard from the 2026 class. She plays at Quaker Valley High School (PA), the same school Adou attended before coming to Kentucky. Though she is already 6-4, she could very well grow into a 6-6 or even 6-7 forward with elite guard skills. Her recruitment is starting to blow up.
This season, Thiero is averaging 19.2 points, 14.1 rebounds, and 4.7 blocks per game as a sophomore.

Currently, she holds an offer from Duquesne and is drawing interest from Columbia, Pitt, Syracuse, and Michigan. However, she is a rising star in the state of Pennsylvania, so those offers will start flooding in soon enough.
Kentucky is taking notice. Will Kyra Elzy extend an offer on the Wildcats’ behalf sooner rather than later?
