2023 four-star forward Eric Dailey has included Kentucky in his final eight schools, with the Wildcats joining Kansas, Memphis, Florida State, TCU, Oklahoma StateMichigan, and Texas A&M on the list.

A Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy standout, Dailey is also considering his professional options, he tells On3.

Kentucky has not offered a scholarship to Dailey, but the coaching staff is expected to visit him during the open recruiting period, sources told On3’s Joe Tipton.

The 6-foot-7, 215-pound forward has not taken any visits, but is in the process of scheduling them now. Dailey, who reclassified back from 2022 to 2023 in April, ranks as the No. 51 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus.

Now playing a post-grad year at IMG, Dailey is also eligible for the 2023 NBA Draft.

“Most coaches are saying they like my game and want to develop me to be that NBA guard and be prepared for the next level,” he told On3. “More will come as I build relationships with these schools.”

For Kentucky, it’s a questionable fit, at best. The Wildcats have already earned commitments from five-star prospects Justin Edwards and Robert Dillingham, along with four-star guard Reed Sheppard. Elsewhere, UK is looking to close out its class with five-star prospects DJ Wagner, Aaron Bradshaw and Ron Holland.

That’s not even considering the team’s current roster and players who may return for the 2023-24 season.

Loose contact, maybe, don’t expect to see Dailey in a Kentucky uniform next season.
