'24 SG Isaiah Elohim will be a Kentucky target to keep an eye on
Isaiah Elohim was one of the top performers at last week’s 20th annual Pangos All-American Camp in Las Vegas. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound shooting guard was tabbed to the event’s Top 30 Cream of the Crop Game after an impressive four-game run with Team Notre Dame. Elohim averaged 13 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 56.1 percent from the field and hitting double-digit scoring numbers in all four contests. He then added eight points, one rebound, and two dimes on 4-7 shooting in the Cream of the Crop Game.
Despite playing against mostly older competition, the class of 2024 two-way guard looked anything but out of place. It’s why the Kentucky coaching staff is establishing an early connection.
KSR was able to speak with Elohim for a few minutes while he was in Vegas for the Pangos camp. While he kept most of his recruiting information close to the vest, he did say he was hearing the most from Texas, USC, UCLA, Kentucky, and most recently Louisville, which happened to offer him on Monday.
He remembers closely following former Wildcats such as Karl-Anthony Towns and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist while they were in college. UK is the only school of the five mentioned above that has not yet extended an offer.
That being said, Elohim told On3’s Joe Tipton back in February that he expects to hear more from Kentucky come his junior year. Starting June 15, college coaches can begin to make personal contact with rising juniors.

Elohim has yet to take any official visits, but one to UCLA appears to be the most likely destination for his first stop. Texas is also getting a strong look and could lock him in for an official visit in the near future — the Longhorns offered not long ago on April 26. USC is heavily involved, as well. Elohim holds additional scholarships from the likes of Kansas, Washington, Oregon, and Arizona.
After playing his sophomore season at Sierra Canyon High School out in California, which is also home to four-star ’23 guard Bronny James, Elohim has seen his stock soar. He’s participated in two different Team USA Men’s U16 camps since 2021 and has been the focal point for Paul George Elite on the Nike EYBL 16U circuit this spring. The On3 Consensus has him ranked as the No. 6 overall ’24 prospect in the country.
Elohim isn’t a consistent deep threat right now, but he more than makes up for it with brute physicality and length that is built for the college level. He’s a bulldog with the ball in his hands and a head of steam charging downhill. Elohim is already efficient at converting around the basket and in the paint. There are some playmaking abilities there, too. He doubles as a stout defender who is tough to overpower. Honing in on his ball-handling and overall shot-making will be the next step in his development, but there is plenty to like already there.
Expect Kentucky to ramp up contact with Elohim this summer.
