3 Must-Watch Clips from Kentucky vs. Florida
That was a fun Saturday afternoon. Let’s drink up a little more of the Kentucky victory over the Florida Gators, shall we?
You watched all of the action unfold. It was exhilarating, almost too exhilarating. If you’re like me, you get nervous and pace around the room until you’re so locked in on willing the Wildcats to hit a bucket or get a stop, that you miss something extraordinary. Let this serve as a refresher from what may have passed you by during the come-from-behind win in Gainesville.
Calipari Celebrates a Perfectly Executed Inbounds Play
Kentucky could not buy a bucket from behind the three-point line. The Cats entered the game ranked third nationally in three-point percentage (41.6%) and made three-pointers per game (10.6). Even the best looks weren’t falling, so John Calipari got into his bag. Trailing by three with just over 5 minutes to go, he drew up a play to get Aaron Bradshaw a wide open jump shot that worked too perfection. I’m sure most of the BBN was celebrating the same way Calipari did on the sideline.
Let’s take a closer look at John Calipari’s Pete Weber impersonation. Unfortunately, the O-Dome was too loud to hear Calipari say, “Who do you think you are? I am!”
All-Access with Calipari
Some Kentucky fans absolutely loved this message, however, I think people might be reading into it too much. He was 100% correct. Florida was hitting everything. After all, they banked in TWO threes in the first half. The law of averages had to take over eventually. The Kentucky head coach reminded his players during a timeout to keep them confident on the court.

Aaron Bradshaw on the Court with ESPN
Before celebrating with his team in the locker room. Aaron Bradshaw joined Jay Bilas and Dan Shulman for a postgame conversation on the court. Scoreless in the first half, he showed onions in the second, tallying 10 points and nailing the go-ahead three with just over a minute to play.
“It felt real good. I got low, held the follow-through and made the shot,” Bradshaw told the ESPN crew.
In addition to the big shot, he swatted a shot at the other end to give the Cats a much-needed stop down the stretch. “Coach loves that defense so I had to get that block.”
