With the summer quickly approaching, official visits for rising high school seniors are beginning to trickle in. The rules have changed slightly, with prospects now allowed to take as many official visits as they want instead of the previously set maximum of five per school year. But the number of prospects that the school itself can host on official visits remains the same. So when a player locks in an official visit with Kentucky, there is a clear level of interest from the Wildcats’ side of things.

Over at KSBoard, we’ve begun to list out the official visitors for the summer, one of them being three-star Georgia prospect Antonio White out of Parkview High School. White tells KSR that he has an official visit with Kentucky set for June 13-15, which will be his second trip to Lexington. According to the On3 Industry Ranking, the 6-foot-2, 175-pounder is considered the No. 1,058 prospect in the ’24 class and No. 148 overall wide receiver.

White received his offer from UK in early March.

Although he’s listed as a wide receiver in the On3 database, White is being primarily recruited as a defensive back, particularly at safety. That puts Wildcats’ defensive backs coach Chris Collins, who has been making his mark on the recruiting trail this offseason, as his primary recruiter. The two parties have been building a sound relationship over the last several weeks and it ultimately led to securing an official visit date.

“He’s been a cool guy, I like Coach Collins,” White told KSR. “Me and Coach Collins got a good bond. We have a great bond. We talk almost every day.”

White pointed to the way that the Kentucky coaches lead their players as a major reason why he’s interested in the ‘Cats.

“The hospitality, the way they treat their players, the way the coaches talk to their players, the way the coaches teach the game of football,” White said. “And then I love the way the DBs look, the way they teach them how to keep them patient, everything. I just love the way they teach their DBs.”

While his national ranking isn’t among the best of the best, White appears primed for a leap. In the last two weeks, he’s picked up scholarships from the likes of North Carolina, Texas A&M, and Auburn, even taking a visit to the Tigers last month. White adds that the likes of Mississippi State, Rutgers, and Pittsburgh (which have all offered) have been reaching out about potential official visits, as well. In addition to Kentucky, he’s already locked in an official visit to UNC.

White could be looking to wrap up his recruitment sooner rather than later. He noted a potential June commitment — after taking his official visits — is on the table but did add that it could get delayed until the fall.
