Either Kentucky or Tennessee will receive some good news in about a month’s time.

Sunday afternoon, three-star class of 2023 athlete Cristian Conyer announced on social media that he will make his college decision on Sunday, July 3. It is widely believed that Conyer, who plays for South Warren in Bowling Green, KY, will choose between the Wildcats and Volunteers. The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder is considered the No. 569 overall prospect in the nation and the fifth-best from the state of Kentucky, according to the On3 Consensus.

Conyer is being recruited by UK as a defensive back.

Conyer will take a pair of official visits later this month, the first to Lexington the weekend of June 17 and the next to Tennessee the weekend after. He also expects to be on the Kentucky campus this weekend for an unofficial visit to help kick off the beginning of June camps, although he will not participate. He was at Tennessee last weekend for an unofficial visit, as well.

Kentucky currently has six players committed to the 2023 class, including one other defensive back in three-star Ty Bryant out of Lexington’s Frederick Douglass.
