3-star OL Koby Keenum announcing college decision July 9
Kentucky is trending heavily for arguably the top center in all of high school football.
Koby Keenum, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound three-star inside offensive lineman, posted to social media on Sunday afternoon that he will make his college decision on Saturday, July 9 at noon EST. Considered the No. 742 overall prospect from the ’23 class, per the On3 Consensus, the Mars Hill Bible School (AL) product is down to a top-five of UK, Louisville, North Carolina, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State.
During the month of June, Keenum took official visits to a trio of his preferred programs: Kentucky, (June 10), Louisville (June 17), and North Carolina (June 24). The Wildcats’ new offensive line coach, Zach Yenser, was the one who offered Keenum, doing so on April 29. There was some noise following his visit to UL that the Cardinals were the frontrunner, but that has changed dramatically over the last couple of days.
On Saturday, KSR’s Nick Roush and Adam Luckett put in high confidence picks for Keenum to land with the ‘Cats. Then, on Sunday, 247Sports’ Director of Football Recruiting, Steve Wiltfong, placed a Crystal Ball pick in favor of UK. Justin Rowland and Dave Lackford of Rivals also placed predictions on Sunday for Keenum to choose Kentucky.
Come on down, big fella.
