3-star WR Ja'Kayden Ferguson commits to Kentucky
How about a Yahtzee to celebrate Father’s Day for Kentucky football? 2025 three-star wide receiver Ja’Kayden Ferguson is a Wildcat, committing to Mark Stoops and the UK staff early Sunday afternoon.
The Houston (Texas) Fort Bend Marshall was in town this weekend for an official visit and he didn’t leave without a commitment, choosing Kentucky over the likes of Houston, LSU and Texas Tech, among others.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder is the No. 627 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 92 receiver and the No. 96 recruit in Texas. He’s listed as the No. 51 wideout nationally and No. 57 prospect out of the Lone Star State according to the On3 Player Rankings.

How does one reach fringe four-star status? By doing cool stuff like this, of course.
Ferguson joins a class that includes four-star RB Marquise Davis, four-star S Martels Carter, four-star WR Quintin Simmons, four-star OT Darrin Strey, three-star QBs Stone Saunders and Brennen Ward and three-star OL Tucker Kattus.
The dice are hot on this holiday weekend, and there could be more to come following a weekend with more than a dozen official visitors on campus. Ward, Simmons, Davis and Carter were in town among committed prospects while Samari Reed, Demarcus Gardner, Andrew Purcell, Mandrell Desir and Darryll Desir, Brody Lennon and Bryan Auguste all joined in on the action as available recruits.
Who is next for Stoops and company? We may not have to wait long to find out.
Until then, watch the newest Wildcat go to work.
