4-star DL Jamaal Jarrett includes Kentucky in top 8
Kentucky is going to have to take down some big names if Jamaal Jarrett is to suit up as a Wildcat, but the staff is off to an encouraging start.
A class of 2023 four-star defensive lineman from Greensboro, NC, Jarrett announced through social media on Friday afternoon that he’s down to eight schools: Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Penn State, N.C. State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Kentucky.
Clocking in at 6-foot-5 and 330 pounds, Jarrett, who has played both offensive and defensive tackle in high school, has developed a strong early relationship with nearby North Carolina.

He’s been on the Tarheel campus multiple times already this season for game visits and he was a regular visitor over the summer, too. UNC was his first Divison I offer, coming back on March 22. Jarrett took additional unofficial visits over the summer to Virginia Tech and ECU.
Once North Carolina reached out, the floodgates opened. Jarrett has since earned offers from the rest of the schools in his top eight along with Duke, Louisville, and ECU. Wildcat offensive line coach Eric Wolford extended the offer, his eighth DI scholarship at the time. The next step will be to get him in Lexington.
