4-star Kentucky target Demitrius Bell focusing on just four schools

Four-star WR Demitrius Bell plans to play his college football in the SEC, but he’s not quite sure where that will be just yet.
On Tuesday, On3’s director of recruiting, Chad Simmons, reported that Bell is down to four options: Kentucky, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Georgia. Bell was previously committed to Michigan State before backing off that decision in August. The 6-foot, 175-pound class of 2023 pass catcher is considered the No. 373 overall senior prospect in the country, per the On3 Consensus.
“I am focused on Kentucky, Ole Miss, Alabama and Georgia,” Bell told Simmons. “Those schools are recruiting me hard, I have good relationships with coaches at each school and I see myself going to one of those schools.”
Bell, who plays for McGavock High School in Nashville, TN, is close with current Kentucky freshman WR Barion Brown, who is from the same area. The two were able to reconnect when Bell was in Lexington for his official visit earlier this month.

“I am close with Barion, so it is cool knowing that he loves it up at Kentucky,” Bell told On3. “We talked about it when I was there and he is very happy with his decision. I have known him for a while. We trained together, we got close and it would be great to play with him at Kentucky.”
Bell has registered 503 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 43 receptions for McGavock this season. Kentucky wide receivers coach Scott Woodward is Bell’s lead recruiter.
But outside of the ‘Cats, Georgia and Ole Miss are also hot on Bell’s heels. He plans to visit both programs officially after making unofficial trips in the past. Alabama is also expected to receive an official visit. He adds that he’ll make a final decision once all of his visits are complete.
