Kentucky already has most of its top targets identified from the 2025 recruiting class, but a new name could soon join the mix.
Will Riley, a four-star small forward out of Malvern (PA) The Phelps School, has popped up on the Wildcats radar. According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Kentucky assistant coach Chuck Martin is one of over a dozen college coaches who have visited Riley during the current high school season. UK has yet to officially extend an offer to the 6-foot-8 junior, but that could change in the coming months if Riley continues to improve his game.
Riley has already seen his stock grow significantly this season. While the On3 Industry Ranking has him as the No. 23 overall junior in the country, On3’s own rankings slot him at No. 11 — higher than the other three major recruiting services of 247Sports (No. 23), Rivals (No. 31), and ESPN (No. 25).
So far, Riley has yet to take any official visits. However, his first is right around the corner. He’ll take an OV to Arizona running from March 1-3. UCLA and Missouri are also high on his list, per On3’s Jamie Shaw. Riley also told Shaw in late January that he’s hearing from Kentucky, Duke, Michigan, and Gonzaga, among others.

Of note, Riley is originally from Kitchener, Ontario in Canada, the same hometown as former Kentucky player and current Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray.
Only 10 prospects from the ’25 class have publicly announced scholarships from Kentucky. Could Riley be the 11th?
