Braylon Mullins is considered a top priority target for Kentucky head coach Mark Pope in the 2025 cycle. He just wrapped up the first of several official visits he has scheduled over the coming months.

Mullins was in Storrs, CT on Thursday and Friday for an official visit to check out the two-time defending national champion UConn Huskies. Slotted at No. 26 overall in his class by the On3 Industry Ranking, the 6-foot-4 shooting guard is entering the final stages of his process with a commitment expected around the early signing period in November. These official visits will be crucial for each team vying for his talents.

Mullins, an Indiana native, recently cut his list of top schools down to 10: Alabama, Duke, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Purdue, Tennessee, and UConn.

As of right now, this recruitment is thought to be a three-horse race between Kentucky, Indiana, and UConn. However, that could easily change with so many visits on the docket between now and the end of October. New assistant coach Cody Fueger continues to lead the charge on behalf of the Wildcats.

Below is Mullins’ official visit schedule. Of note, Kentucky is set to receive the final OV. It’ll be another month before he hits the road again though — some of these planned trips could ultimately be called off. How hard his group of finalists recruit him over the next few weeks will be telling.

  • UConn: August 1st
  • Michigan: September 7th
  • North Carolina: September 14th
  • Indiana: September 20th
  • Alabama: September 28th
  • Tennessee: October 19th
  • Kentucky: October 25th

Another notable nugget is that Mullins is AAU teammates with Malachi Moreno on the adidas 3SSB circuit for Indiana Elite. Moreno, the nation’s top-ranked center and a native of Georgetown, KY, was on UK’s campus earlier this week for an unofficial visit. Pope locking up Moreno, who will officially visit Lexington for Big Blue Madness, sooner rather than later would surely help the Wildcats’ chances in landing someone like Mullins.
