5-star F Ron Holland begins official visit to Kentucky today
From one top 20 recruit to the next. Kentucky Men’s Basketball is hosting another top-tier prospect from the 2023 class.
Beginning on Monday, 6-foot-8 five-star forward Ron Holland will come to Lexington for an official visit where he is scheduled to stay until Wednesday. The Duncanville (TX) product is considered the No. 12 overall rising senior in the country, according to the recently updated On3 player rankings. Holland finished up an official visit to Arkansas this past weekend, which apparently went well.
7-foot-1 four-star center Aaron Bradshaw finished up his official visit to Kentucky on Sunday.
The expectation is that Holland will receive a scholarship offer from the Wildcats during his visit. The Kentucky staff has kept a close eye on him throughout the spring as he’s suited up for Drive Nation on the Nike EYBL circuit. Assistant coach Chin Coleman serves as his primary recruiter.

Back in early May, Holland dropped a list of his top eight options, which included Kentucky, Arkansas, UCLA, Houston, Auburn, Texas, Memphis, and the NBA’s G-League. He scheduled his OV to UK later that month. Holland told KSR just a couple of weeks ago that he was “looking for a lot” on what will be his first-ever visit to Lexington.
There doesn’t appear to be a clear leader for Holland right now, with Arkansas, UCLA, Kentucky, and Texas all making strong pushes — the latter could even get his final official visit. The G League will always loom as a potential option, too. A timeline for a decision has not been announced, either.
