Coming off an official visit to Auburn over the weekend, Meleek Thomas has scheduled another official, this time with the Kentucky Wildcats.

On3’s Joe Tipton broke the news on Monday afternoon that Thomas, a five-star class of 2025 shooting guard, has locked in an official visit with UK for the first weekend of February. Kentucky is set to host No. 6 Tennessee on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 8:30 p.m. EST on ESPN.

Thomas is a 6-foot-3 shooting guard considered the No. 7 overall high school junior in the country by the On3 Industry Ranking.

So far, Thomas has taken unofficial visits to Penn State, Pittsburgh, Indiana, and Villanova. He was at Auburn this past weekend for his first official. The Pennsylvania product is down to a Top 12 that includes Auburn, Kansas State, Indiana, Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, Tennessee, UConn, Pittsburgh, Michigan, Miami, and Villanova.

“This visit went very well,” Thomas told Auburn Live about his trip to Auburn. “It was everything I expected it to be and more. I wanted to get on campus and get a feel for everything, the team, the coaches, the atmosphere, the area … everything I could potentially be in. And it was a great experience.”

Thomas has been discussing a possible Kentucky visit since the beginning of the summer. Head coach John Calipari has visited the sharpshooter in person multiple times over recent months, most recently at the end of December when he saw Thomas record a triple-double. Thomas will now repay the favor and make a trip to Lexington in a few weeks.
