66 Wildcats earn SEC Winter Sports Academic Honor Roll honors

The University of Kentucky saw 66 student-athletes earn a place on the 2020 Winter Sports Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll, good for fourth-most in the conference.

The standouts? UK’s gymnastics team, who had 12 student-athletes on the honor roll, followed by women’s basketball with eight. Both totals were second-most in the league in those sports, respectively. Women’s swimming had 24 honorees, third-highest among league schools in that sport, while men’s swimming also had 15. The rifle team had six, while the men’s basketball had one.

Based on grades from the 2019 Spring, Summer, and Fall terms, a student-athlete must have a 3.0 grade-point average for the preceding academic year or a cumulative 3.0 GPA, and completed at least 24 semester of academic work, in order to be named to the list.
