A couple of four-star teammates to visit Kentucky

New head coach Mark Stoops hasn't stopped recruiting since he arrived in Lexington. For the past two weeks, some of the most talented 2013 prospects have made their way to the Bluegrass State. There are even more coming next weekend. That group will be headline by two teammates, both four-star recruits (ESPN and Rivals). Lincoln (FL) teammates LB James Hearns and WR Taj Williams will travel to Lexington to check out the facilities and meet with the coaching staff. Both guys were previously recruited by Florida State while Stoops was there and are familiar with the coach.   James Hearns — Linebacker; 6’3″, 235 lbs.; Tallahassee, FL Rivals:4-Star, #8 LB ESPN: 4-Star, #10 LB Many have questioned the amount of linebackers courted by the new coaching staff. To my knowledge, until this point, there haven't been any contacted. With DE/LB Bud Dupree likely moving to a hand-in-the-ground DE role, the corps is undoubtedly weakened, but not bare. The coaching staff must like the returning roster at the position or didn't see any upgrades in the current class. That could all change with Hearns, though. At 6'3, 235 this guy can immediately be plugged in at any of the linebacker positions and have success. He is currently committed to Florida, but Rivals list it as a "soft" verbal. With a flip of Hearns, the linebacker position on Kentucky's defense will be immediately upgraded.   Taj Williams —Wide Receiver; 6’4″, 170 lbs.; Tallahassee, FL Rivals:4-Star, #23 WR ESPN: 4-Star, #32 WR In Kentucky's new Air Raid offense, you can never have enough play makers  Every wide receiver I've talked to loves the idea of offensive coordinator Neal Brown making them a priority in the offense. Williams would be no different and would likely challenge for a roster spot immediately. Williams has great hands, great route running ability and isn't afraid to go across the middle of the field to make a catch. He is also considering Alabama, South Carolina and South Florida.
