At one point this season, he had made 20-28 from behind the arc. While he seem him as a dead eye shooter, his consistency has been rocky this season. To begin the year, Devin really did not shoot the ball particularly well. As he got into better shape, those shots began to fall. While he did have games he struggled in, there were also games where he almost could not miss. Some of those games included 4-6 against Boston University and 5-6 against Texas-Arlington. With conference play in full effect, Booker has fallen into that same inconsistent slump. Here are Devin's 3pt numbers over the last 10 games
  • Missouri 1-1
  • Alabama 3-6
  • Vanderbilt 0-1
  • South Carolina 2-4
  • Missouri 0-1
  • Alabama 3-4
  • Georgia 1-6
  • Florida 0-2
  • LSU 1-4
  • South Carolina 2-2
Is this type of inconsistency something to be worried about going forward? No. Based on stats alone, we can almost predict what type of shooting performance Devin will have on Tuesday. It really is bizarre how Booker will shoot the ball well, then follow it with a bad game. Shooters like Devin go through shooting slumps. It is part of the game. Aaron has gone through some this season as well. However, the last thing we need is for Devin continue to shoot inconsistently at the end of the season, particularly going into the SEC tournament. You can almost guarantee that Kentucky will have an off night shooting the basketball and will need a 3 to bail them out of a tight situation. Devin will get back on track, the question remains will that be sooner rather than later. If Kentucky wants to peak offensively, Devin needs to shoot the ball consistently. @PerkiliciousKSR
