A Kerr Kriisa No-Look Pass Steals the Show in the First Kentucky Highlight Reel of the Season
We expected Mark Pope’s first Kentucky basketball team to knock ’em dead from three-point land. Don’t be mistaken, they knocked down plenty of threes (11 to be precise), including on the most exciting play of the night, but this was far from a three-point shootout.
Kentucky attacked the rim early and often, scoring 36 points in transition to create a delightful compilation of dunks for the highlight reel from the 103-62 victory over Wright State. Otega Oweh had quite a few of those slams and Amari Williams put one poor Raider on a poster.
The best play of the night came in the most unexpected way while the Wildcats were running in transition. Kerr Kriisa had an easy layup, but does he strike you as the type of guy to just take an easy layup? Of course not.
Instead of getting two, he made a no-look pass for a wide-open Koby Brea three. It was a thing of beauty.

Wow. What a play. But that was just one of the good ones. Take a closer look at the best of the rest, accompanied by the dulcet tones of Tom Leach.
