A look back at John Wall's third season

by:asdfasdf06/03/13
John Wall is the posterchild player for the rebirth of Kentucky basketball (specifically on the recruiting side). He was the first number one overall player to choose the Cats, and came in with legendary mixtapes and hoopla - moreso than we had ever seen at UK likely. While some tried to call Wall a bust early on because of his jump-shooting woes, he has proven to be a hard worker who is constantly trying to improve his game. After averaging 16.4 and 16.3 points per game in his first two seasons respectively, he boosted his stats despite missing the first bit of the 2012-2013 NBA season. Check out this highlight reel from John Wall's third NBA season, in which he fought back from an injury and showed he was far from a bust. He ended up averaging 18.5 points, 7.6 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game this year. It looks like the Wizards may be picking Otto Porter Jr. with the #3 overall pick, who may help fulfill the needs Wall claims the team has in the forward position, despite it seeming like Wall really wants Anthony Bennett.
