Kentucky target Aaden Aytch flips to Minnesota

College football recruiting is a year-round activity but some sections of the calendar are much more important than others. The official visit push in June and July is typically where these drawn out battles are won. We’ve officially entered the commitment blitz in the 2026 high school cycle as winners and losers on the trail will be decided now.
Another Kentucky target — and future official visitor — came off the board this weekend before that trip to Lexington could occur.
Northern Illinois EDGE commit Aaden Aytch flipped to the Golden Gophers on Sunday as his official visit in Minneapolis came to an end. The Indiana native will row the boat with P.J. Fleck.
Aaden Aytch had been committed to Northern Illinois since April 16 but has saw a flurry of power conference offers arrive in May. Aytch had official visits locked in with Iowa (June 6-8) and Kentucky (June 13-15) over the next two weekends. Those might be unlikely to occur now.

Kentucky defensive coordinator Brad White was running point on this recruitment for UK but has some other EDGE targets expected on campus this month. Blue-chippers Jackson Samuels-Ford and Asharri Charles both have mid-week visits scheduled with the Cats. Elijah Satchell has seen heavy interest from the staff throughout the spring and is expected on campus next weekend.
