WATCH: "Santa Bradshaw" and the Wildcats spread holiday cheer
Every year, the Kentucky Basketball team hosts a holiday party for Lexington families in need. Yesterday, the team opened the doors of the Wildcat Coal Lodge to ten families, with the players serving them dinner and handing out presents. The gifts included shoes, toys, TVs, and even rent checks.
In the middle of it all? Seven-foot-one Aaron Bradshaw, who donned a Santa suit and gray Crocs.
John Calipari mentioned the party in his press conference following the win over North Carolina.
“Tomorrow we have 10 families that go to the lodge where the kids live and we have Christmas for 10 families, and part of it is they — from gifts to big screen TVs to food to rent checks to — these kids get to do it and feel that, what it’s about.”
Check out all of the fun below, including the Cats singing “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.”
“We love BBN, we love Kentucky,” Bradshaw said. “Just wanted to say, shout out to all the Kentucky fans and all the people out there. We’re trying to make a big Christmas for the kids.”

I doubt there are many Santa suits out there for seven-footers, so well done by the person who modified AB’s suit for him with the black material beneath the pant cuffs.
I’m sure we’ll hear more about the event from Calipari tonight on his call-in show, which starts at 6:00 p.m. on 630 WLAP.
