Aaron Bradshaw to start vs. UNC, Ugonna Onyenso available to play
Kentucky’s seven-footers are slowly working their way into the Kentucky rotation.
During his pregame radio appearance, head coach John Calipari told Tom Leach that 7-foot-1 center Aaron Bradshaw will move into the starting lineup in place of Adou Thiero when the Wildcats take on North Carolina in under an hour. This will be just the third game for Bradshaw this season after his recovery from a broken foot he suffered over the summer. The freshman big man posted a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double against Penn in Philadelphia last Saturday.
Calipari also added that 7-foot sophomore center Ugonna Onyenso is available to make his season debut. Onyenso also broke his foot over the summer and has most recently been dealing with an illness.

“He flew in this morning,” Calipari said of Onyenso. “My guess is if we play him it’ll be five or 10 minutes, only because he got sick yesterday or two days ago. But he came into the shootaround, had a fairly good shootaround.”
After going the first seven games of the season without any seven-footers, Kentucky will have two ready to play just in time for a matchup against Armando Bacot and No. 9 North Carolina. Tipoff is set for 5:55 p.m. EST.
