Abby Steiner runs in 200m finals tonight at World Championships
With all the football and basketball recruiting news flying around, the track & field World Championships may have slipped your mind. Rest assured, your former University of Kentucky Wildcats are still making you proud in Eugene. Last night, Sydney McLaughlin easily won her heat to advance to the finals of the 400-meter hurdles. It doesn’t even look like she broke a sweat.
McLaughlin will run in the finals Friday night at 10:50 p.m. ET. With the fastest time in the semifinals, she’ll be in lane five. Will she break her own world record (51.41 seconds) again? Watch live on USA Network or Peacock to find out.
Abby Steiner runs in the 200 meter finals tonight
Tonight, Kentucky’s newest track superstar Abby Steiner will go for gold in the 200 meters. Steiner, whose semifinal time was 22.15 seconds, will be in lane eight. Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson, who posted the fastest time in the semifinals (21.67), will be in lane five.
