Abby Steiner brings home The Bowerman
Kentucky sprinter Abby Steiner had a record-breaking year in 2022. Now the Team USA member owns the hardware to prove just that.
The Bowerman is awarded each year to the top male and female athlete in college track & field. Kentucky’s own brought home the award on Thursday night at the 2022 USTFCCCA Convention in Colorado.
Steiner beat out Anna Hall and Camryn Rogers for the award. Former Wildcats Kendra Harrison (2015) and Sydney McLaughlin (2018) were both finalists for The Bowerman in previous years.
In Steiner’s speech, the track star talks about her journey as a sprinter and making the transition from soccer. Steiner gave thanks to her family and coaches.
