ACC Wants the SEC in Football
According to multiple sources, the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Southeastern Conference are in talks to create yearly showdowns between their teams in an effort to match-up the nation’s best football teams on a regular basis. Now, these talks are “extremely premature” and a long-shot from reality, especially since many SEC teams already have annual rivalry games with ACC schools, not to mention the ACC’s new five-year contract with Notre Dame, TV issues, etc.
Nevertheless, it definitely gets you thinking. With rumors of a nine-game conference schedule coming in the future and the potential loss of the yearly game with Louisville, this could be a potential savior to that as the Cardinals head to the ACC next season. Undoubtedly, these two conferences are the mecca of college football right now, and more games between the two would be ideal for every sports fan.
