AJ Rose will Return to Kentucky for Senior Season
A.J. Rose will finish his college career in Lexington.
The UK running back announced on Twitter that he will wear Kentucky blue and white in the fall of 2020.
“The best is yet to come.”
In the middle of his redshirt junior season many speculated that he would finish his collegiate career as a grad transfer. Instead of looking elsewhere, Rose finished the season on a high note. If not for a bogus penalty he would have racked up more than 120 yards and a touchdown in the Belk Bowl. He averaged 6.9 yards per carry on only ten attempts against Virginia Tech.
Rose currently ranks fourth in UK history with 5.55 yards per carry. Over the last two seasons he’s racked up more than 1,200 yards while sharing a backfield with Benny Snell and Lynn Bowden. On pace to finish on the top ten of UK’s all-time rushing list, the explosive pass-catching threat out of the backfield will play a significant role in what could be an historic 2020 season.
