Alcoholic Mountain Dew is coming in early 2022
Brace yourself, Bullitt County! An alcoholic version of Mountain Dew is coming soon.
PepsiCo Inc. just announced plans to launch a hard version of the popular soda early next year. Boston Beer Company, which makes Truly hard seltzers, will develop and make the line of flavored malt beverages, which will be called “Hard Mtn Dew.” There will be a traditional citrus flavor, along with black cherry and watermelon. All three drinks will be sugar free with an alcohol-by-volume (ABV) of 5%, roughly the same as White Claw or Truly.
“We know that adult drinkers’ tastes are evolving, and they are looking for new and exciting flavorful beverages. The combination of our experience in brewing and developing the best-tasting hard seltzers and hard teas, and MTN DEW, a one of kind multi-billion dollar brand, will deliver the excitement and refreshment that drinkers know and love,” said Dave Burwick, Boston Beer’s CEO.
Hard Mtn Dew hits the shelves in early 2022, just in time for your Kentucky Basketball SEC watch parties.
