Amateur photographer Rajon Rondo captured DeAndre Square's game-clinching interception
Former Kentucky point guard Rajon Rondo was among the many Kentucky Basketball alums in town for a reunion around Big Blue Madness last weekend. While in Lexington, Rondo also showed his support for Kentucky Football by attending Saturday night’s home game against Mississippi State, a much-needed win for the Wildcats.
Late in that game, Rondo used his celebrity sideline access to try his hand at amateur photography. He asked photographer Les Nicholson for a peek through Nicholson’s camera lens and Nicholson, who was there for Kentucky Today, gladly offered a look to the 16-year NBA veteran. Then with a little instruction, Rondo captured his own photos of the action, including DeAndre Square‘s game-clinching interception.
Nicholson sent Rondo’s photos over to KSR so we can all admire his work:
Rondo still for hire in basketball
The NBA tips off its new season tonight without Rajon Rondo on an NBA roster for the first time since 2006. Last season, Rondo split his time between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Cleveland Cavaliers until his one-year contract expired in Cleveland after the Cavs’ loss in the play-in game.
He remains a free agent going into the 2022-23 season.
