Wide receiver is a position of need for Kentucky in the 2026 high school recruiting cycle. New position coach L’Damian Washington has multiple targets locked in for official visits in June.

Kentucky added another prospect to that OV list on Tuesday. Iva (S.C.) Crescent Hill wide receiver Amiri Acker will be in Lexington from June 6-8.

Kentucky offered the unranked wideout a scholarship on March 12 and got an official visit scheduled less than three months later. Georgia Tech and NC State offered Amiri Acker last week. In-state South Carolina is also involved in this recruitment and just recently got Acker on campus in Columbia for an unofficial visit.

The 2026 prospect posted 28 receptions for 604 yards and six touchdowns. Amiri Acker is also a standout in track and field. The wide receiver has posted a 10.65 time in the 100 meters. Acker finished third-place in South Carolina’s AAA track meet as a sophomore in the 100 meters while also competing in the 200 meters and 400 meters.

UK has a need at wide receiver. Fred Farrier II, J.J. Hester, Kendrick Law, Ja’Mori Maclin, and Troy Stellato are all entering their senior seasons. The program needs to address the position in a big way for the 2026 season gets here. Amiri Acker has emerged as another option as the Wildcats take multiple swings at the position in this high school cycle.
