Andrija Jelavić listed on Kentucky MBB's official 2025-26 roster

Incoming Kentucky freshman Andrija Jelavić has yet to make his way to Lexington, but he’s listed on the Wildcats’ team website roster.

Within the last day or so, the men’s basketball team updated the 2025-26 roster on its website for the first time this offseason. Jelavić is the only one among the 14 scholarship players without a headshot, but he has a profile page and a short player bio. He’ll also wear the No. 4 jersey once he comes over from his home of Croatia to the Bluegrass State.

It’s yet to be known exactly when Jelavić will make the trip overseas and settle into his home on UK’s campus, which has some members of the Big Blue Nation curious about when his arrival will actually happen, but the team listing him on the roster certainly can’t be a bad thing.

Jelavić, who turned 21 years old in May and possesses a 7-foot-2 wingspan, looks to be a perfect fit for Mark Pope’s system. The 6-foot-11 stretch big can shoot from deep, but is also quick and agile with the ball on the perimeter for someone his size. That quickness, combined with plenty of length, could make him a plus-defender at the college level. He’ll provide even more depth for an already deep rotation.

Kentucky is already halfway through summer practices. Jasper Johnson, who spent the first few weeks suiting up for Team USA, ultimately winning a gold medal in Switzerland, made his way to Lexington earlier this week as he begins to get into a groove with the rest of the team. Jelavić shouldn’t be too far away from joining Johnson and the rest of his future teammates.
