While most of Big Blue Nation’s collective attention is on who is joining the Kentucky football program, former Wildcats are finding landing spots in the Power Conference ranks. A second former offensive starter is staying in the SEC.

247’s Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz report that Jordan Dingle is expected to transfer to South Carolina. The former four-star talent from Bowling Green High School spent four years in Lexington, where he tallied 21 starts and 43 receptions for 615 yards and four touchdowns. He’ll have one year of eligibility remaining.

This is Dingle’s second stint in the transfer portal. He tested the waters last offseason and nearly committed to Tennessee before having a change of heart and returning to Lexington.

He’s the second former Cats to decide to stay in the SEC for the 2025 season. Unlike Barion Brown, who will suit up for LSU, Dingle will get a chance to play his former team. Kentucky travels to South Carolina on Sept. 27, 2025. After winning seven of eight in the series, the Cats have dropped three straight to South Carolina.

Dingle is one of three Kentucky tight ends to leave the program this offseason. Vince Marrow needs to find a depth piece to play alongside Willie Rodriguez, Josh Kattus, and Mikkel Skinner. They may have found one in Henry Boyer. The enormous tight end (6-6, 270) from Illinois visited Kentucky earlier this week and is on commitment watch.

Where Kentucky Players have Transferred

  • WR Barion Brown — LSU
  • TE Jordan Dingle — South Carolina
  • DL Tommy Ziesmer — EKU
  • OT Courtland Ford — UCLA
