Kentucky is in the market for offensive linemen in the 2026 recruiting class. Unfortunately, Louisville is going to the market and raiding the shelves like a panicked Karen ahead of a snowstorm.

For the second time in less than 24 hours, a Kentucky offensive line target committed to Louisville. Charlie Edgeworth announced on social media that he will play for the Cards.

Edgeworth took two official visits this summer, kicking things off at Kentucky, then traveling to Louisville on June 6. After some deliberations, the three-star talent is going to play football on Floyd Street.

A 6-foot-7, 320-pound offensive tackle from Chattanooga, TN, he’s a three-star recruit in the class of 2026, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.

Edgeworth’s announcement comes less than 24 hours after Ben Corhei announced his commitment to Louisville. Corhei is a three-star interior offensive lineman who was scheduled to arrive for an official visit in Lexington on Tuesday.

Vince Marrow’s decision to leave Kentucky for Louisville was a huge PR hit for Mark Stoops’ program. The Cats responded with one win on the recruiting trail, beating the Cards for three-star defensive back Jordan Crutchfield, but have since taken a pair of Ls.

Kentucky had two offensive tackle targets circled, and they got a commitment on Friday from one of them, Cameron Miller. Following this news, it’s time to find another. As for offensive guard, there is a bigger fish out there for Eric Wolford. Four-star IOL Da’Ron Parks begins his official visit tomorrow, but there’s stiff competition for his services, particularly Florida State, and now they’re without the alternative option on the board, Corhei.

Recruiting wins have been few and far between during this cycle. Maybe a high-profile quarterback can quickly turn the tide for the 2026 recruiting class.
