Another Quick thing on Vaughn

Just another quick thing on our boy Julian Vaughn (before he goes to FSU, never to be heard from again). I have read some comments in a couple of places that Julian's commitment "hurts my credibility" or shows that "all these insiders are full of it." I both agree slightly and disagree slightly with those comments. I have no credibility to begin with (heck I went to Duke ;)), but more importantly "inside" information will always be subject to change. As of this time two days ago, I can assure you that the folks at Kentucky thought Vaughn was coming for a visit. And as of this time last week, Vaughn himself told anyone that would listen that he was extremely excited about Kentucky getting involved and he couldnt wait to step on UK's campus. Then of course this happened. Folks have given me heat for saying that "if I were a betting man, I would have said that Vaughn would be at UK in 07." And thats fair. The lesson in this is always the same....you should take all recruiting news with a grain of salt. It is good fodder for discussion, but we are talking about 16 and 17 year old kids at this point and their minds can change on a whim. If you are someone who just wants "the facts" and nothing else....well the internet is probably not for you.....and this blog is certainly not for you. So my timing was off on this one (did he really have to commit the next day after I said that? ;)), but hey, whatcha gonna do?
