Anthony Davis named to NBA's inaugural In-Season All-Tournament Team
Anthony Davis‘ 41-point, 20-rebound performance in the NBA’s first-ever In-Season Tournament championship on Saturday helped the Los Angeles Lakers take home the crown. It also helped land him on the In-Season All-Tournament Team.
On Monday afternoon, the league unveiled its All-Tournament Team for the inaugural In-Season Tournament that wrapped up over the weekend in Las Vegas. Behind strong play from Davis and LeBron James, the Lakers were able to beat the red-hot Indiana Pacers in the title game by a final score of 123-109. In addition to his 41 points and 20 rebounds, Davis contributed five assists and four blocks on 16-24 shooting from the floor and a 9-13 mark from the free-throw line in 40 minutes of action.
Davis and James were joined on the All-Tournament Team by Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL), Kevin Durant (PHX), and Tyrese Haliburton (IND). James was named the Tournament MVP.
In total, Davis and the Lakers played in seven In-Season Tournament games, which included the group stage games and the playoffs. The former Kentucky big man finished with per-game averages of 23.3 points, 14.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.9 blocks while shooting 52.5 percent overall and 79.6 percent from the charity stripe.

However, Davis’ impressive championship stat line technically will not count toward his regular-season statistics. As part of this new In-Season Tournament, statistics accumulated during the title game — which ensures that the Lakers and Pacers play 83 games during the regular season while the rest of the league will play the traditional 82 — will not be recognized, nor will the Lakers’ victory in the regular season standings.
Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox received two votes for the All-Tournament Team. The Kings made it out of the group stage phase and earned a two-seed in the tournament field, but fell in the quarterfinals to the New Orleans Pelicans, 127-117.
