Anthony Davis Is Also "Coming Home"

Lebron James isn’t the only one who’s coming home, so is Anthony Davis, at least in Part I of this Red Bull trilogy miniseries entitled “Coming Home”. The videos are to follow Davis around on a tour of his hometown of Chicago as a promotion for Red Bull Reign, a national 3-on-3 tournament taking place in the city later this month. In Part 1: Return to Chicago, Davis explains how he grew up in the tough neighbourhood of Inglewood in the south of the city, his development in basketball unhindered because his parents installed a hoop in their backyard so he wouldn’t have to brave the gangs and potential violence on public courts. Even before basketball was central to his life, Davis was sure, somehow, that he would one day get out of Inglewood and take his family too.
It’s unreal to see that Anthony Davis is well on his way to becoming an absolute megastar in the NBA, it seems like only yesterday he was tossing away worthless John Henson jump shots in Rupp Arena.
