open-bowling-strike The Cats went to Columbia and took care of business, almost certainly send them bowling for the first time since 2010. Behind a combined effort of 377 yards on the ground from Boom and Benny, UK bulldozed their way to an early 21-0 lead and never had much to worry about the rest of the way. Oh, and Benny Snell broke Randall Cobb's freshman record for touchdowns. We've got something special here. Stephen Johnson wasn't perfect. He went 14-23 for 208 yards, two tuddies, and a pick on a key drive, but most importantly he managed to lead the team to another win. He's now 4-1 as starting quarterback, and the Cats have won 5 of their last 6 games since the 0-2 start to the season. The Cats remain at second in the east for now, with an upcoming game against Georgia at home next weekend. Georgia lost to Florida 24-10 last night, and they're rolling into Lexington next weekend on a current two-game skid. With bowl eligibility on the line, Commonwealth will be rocking next weekend for a night game against the Bulldogs. #PackCommonwealth

Highlights from the Mizzou Win

He mentioned postgame that he felt insulted by Missouri's man coverage on the outside, and you can tell by his reaction on the touchdown that it was strictly business yesterday for the Cats.

It's time for a little string music in Lexington KY

Image result for malik monk kentucky dunk We had to wait 225 days from the last time we saw the Cats play basketball, and tonight at 7:00 p.m. the wait is over. Calipari's alma mater, Clarion, comes to town for a matchup with the Cats in Rupp. The last time the Golden Eagles were in town they fought the Cats down to the wire in a 117-52 nail biter, and tomorrow should look like much of the same. BBN can't wait to see our new crop of freshman in their introductory exhibition tonight. Cal said he plans to see many different starting lineups this season, what's your prediction for the opening night exhibition starters? I'm going Fox, Briscoe, Monk, Willis, and Bam against a fairly undersized opponent, and also expect them to eventually stay the starters unless there is a favorable matchup for Bam at the 4 with Humphries in at center. The football Cats are rolling and basketball starts back tonight, it's beginning to appear that Cats fans could be in for one heck of a November. Gobble, Gobble.

The poor Cubs

Image result for cubs sad They returned home to Wrigley on Friday night with cover prices in Wrigleyville reaching as high as 100-200 dollars and up, and they didn't win either game so far this weekend. They're now down 3-1 with upcoming Games 6 and 7 being played in Cleveland. It's not over til it's over, but its certainly not looking good for the Cubbies.  They have to win all the remaining games in the series to win their first championship since 1908, and it appears that The Curse of the Billy Goat will continue. Game 5 will be played tonight in Chicago at 8 p.m. ET. Gonna have to make it 108+1, sorry Cubs fans.
