This year Santa Claus is getting Antonio Reeves some Reebok. The Kentucky star shooting guard is teaming up with the apparel brand to upgrade his swag this season.

Before you ask the question, “Wait, Kentucky is a Nike school. How can he sign with Reebok?” Student-athletes can ink NIL deals with whatever brand they choose. They just can’t rock the gear during games.

Reeves isn’t the only Wildcat with a NIL apparel deal. Justin Edwards signed with Klutch Athletics, a New Balance brand, before the start of the 2023-24 Kentucky basketball season.

The Kentucky shooting guard celebrated the new deal with a Christmas care package from Reebok. The next logical step in this process is fool-proof: re-releasing an Antonio Reeves branded Pump.

Antonio Reeves is En Fuego

There is not a better time to sign Antonio Reeves to a NIL deal than right now. The Sensational Super Senior dropped 30 on Louisville. He scored 22 of those points in the first half.

Reeves is one of only four Kentucky Wildcats to score 30+ points against Louisville. After sinking four-of-five three-pointers he received MVP honors.

That was the second 30-point performance of Antonio Reeves’ short career in Lexington. Both games have been on the road. Last year he netted 37 points in the regular season finale at Arkansas. He joins Oscar Tshiebwe, Malik Monk and Jamal Murray as the only John Calipari players with multiple 30-point performances.

This year Reeves is the second-leading scorer in the SEC, averaging 18.3 points per game. He is also ranked in the top five in field goal percentage (50.7%) and three-point field goal percentage (45.5%). Not too shabby.

He’ll get a chance to show off his flamethrower against his former team. Illinois State travels to Rupp Arena Friday, Dec. 29 at 7 pm EST on the SEC Network.
