Antonio Reeves back on campus, expected to return to Kentucky
Kentucky guard Antonio Reeves is expected to return for his final year of eligibility after moving back into his dorm this week, according to Travis Branham of 247Sports.
The fifth-year senior had previously enrolled at Illinois State for summer classes to work toward graduation status. That also could have potentially opened the door for a portal entry as a grad transfer, with other schools lurking as interested suitors in the Southeastern Conference Sixth Man of the Year.
KSR’s Matt Jones was the first to report Reeves was back on campus.
An official announcement regarding a final decision has not yet been made.
Reeves was exceptional during his senior season with the Wildcats where he averaged 14.4 points per contest while shooting 41.6% from the field, 39.8% from three and 78.3% at the line. He finished in double figures a total of 26 times, including 10 games of at least 20 points and a career-high 37 points in a win at Arkansas in the team’s final road game of the year.
