Antonio Reeves, Justin Edwards break down Kentucky's massive win over Tennessee
We know what John Calipari had to say following Kentucky’s win in Knoxville, but what about the players? It was Antonio Reeves and Justin Edwards speaking on their respective performances outside the Wildcat locker room at Food City Center.
Reeves, who tied for a team-high 27 points alongside Reed Sheppard, talked about his team’s confidence entering the matchup and how it was able to respond after Tennessee’s early punch with punches of its own. Can the Cats use this momentum entering postseason play? That’s the goal, the fifth-year senior says.
“We definitely have a lot of confidence going into these types of games, winning like four or five in a row,” he said. “That’s what we need for these postseason tournaments. We definitely need that.”
As for Edwards, he talked about his late-season breakthrough and the growing individual confidence that made it all happen. And what about a surprise leader of the Justin Edwards fanclub? You got to see that in action, too.

“The preparation I had today, I knew I was going to make shots,” he said. “I didn’t know I was going to be that hot in the first half, though [laughs]. It’s just the work that I’ve been putting in, it’s paying off.”
