Kentucky target Antonio White commits to Rutgers
Kentucky needs to find some safety help in the class of 2024 after adding a cornerback prospect earlier this week. One target came off the board on Saturday.
Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview wide receiver/defensive back Antonio White ended his recruitment on Saturday afternoon with a commitment to Rutgers.
White is a three-star recruit and the No. 1,001 ranked prospect in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound athlete is the 18th player to commit to Rutgers this cycle. Earlier in the recruiting process, White received some interest from Auburn, North Carolina, and Texas A&M. The Wildcats were the first SEC program to offer the Peach State native.

Kentucky currently has nine prospects committed in the 2024 recruiting haul, but only two are defensive prospects. Antwan Smith will be playing linebacker in Lexington while Jiquavious Marshall is projected to start out at corner. Both recruits are from Georgia. Getting some defensive players in the boat is a top task for UK’s recruiting department.
All eyes remain on blue-chip EDGE Brian Robinson but the safety position is something worth monitoring. There weren’t many known prospects when we created our first big board at KSR+ and White is now officially off the board. Valley (Ala.) High product Cam Dooley remains a real option and the unranked prospect is visiting Missouri this weekend before making his decision on July 4.
