Cue up the old John Calipari “Cup Night, Bat Night, T-Shirt Night” clip because Arkansas is pulling out all the stops for Kentucky’s trip to Fayetteville. The Razorbacks are calling for a “Stripe Out” for Saturday’s game, asking fans in alternating sections of Bud Walton Arena to wear red or white.

Arkansas held a White Out for the Auburn game on Feb. 8 and a Red Out for the Tennessee game on Feb. 19. I probably don’t need to tell you they won both of those. Eric Musselman is expecting a similar atmosphere vs. No. 6 Kentucky on Saturday.

“I can tell you from a ticket request standpoint, I told my wife don’t ask about tickets, I told my son don’t ask about tickets, I told the staff,” Musselman said yesterday. “The ticket requests right now are through the roof as it was against Auburn. I told the team last night, you’ll probably see an environment starting on Friday around campus with the anticipation of the game Saturday. It’s not just going to be on Saturday where the environment is like that. It probably will start on Friday.”

Kentucky is no stranger to crazy road atmospheres. The Cats face a “Super Bowl” environment every time they step outside of Rupp. This team embraces it, collecting “road kills” and doing the Griddy in enemy territory; however, if the Cats are without TyTy Washington and/or Sahvir Wheeler once again, pulling off a win like this may be too tall a task.
