Jacob Toppin Goes Down
Jacob Toppin was the best player on the floor for most of the first half. He was running the floor, hitting midrange jumpers and doing damage to the rims at Colonial Life Arena, until he went down with a leg injury in the final two minutes of the half. He scored a team-high 10 points. His status for the second half remains unclear. Once Toppin went down, South Carolina closed the half on a 6-0 run to cut the UK lead to just five.
UPDATE: Toppin will not return to the game, sidelined by an ankle injury.
