Auburn team plane reportedly returned home due to mid-flight "horseplay" between players
Some trouble appears to be brewing within Bruce Pearl‘s program. Multiple sources are reporting that, on Friday night, the Auburn men’s basketball team plane had to reroute on its way to Houston, TX due to what is being described as “horseplay” involving multiple players.
Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman reports that “One source said there was yelling and guys got in each other’s faces, but there were no actual fisticuffs.” Jonathan Hardison of FOX6 WBRC obtained audio from Air Traffic Control that includes a pilot telling ATC “We have a bunch of basketball players fighting.”

The plane was reportedly early into its flight to Houston before having to return home because of the altercation. The team is expected to board another flight to Houston later Friday night.
The No. 11 Tigers are scheduled to face No. 4 Houston on Saturday night in Houston at the Toyota Center with tipoff set for 9:30 p.m. EST on ESPNU. Auburn University is expected to comment on the situation soon.
