Georgia Amoore transferring to Kentucky was huge. For one, she was arguably the best player in the transfer portal. However, she also allows Kenny Brooks and Kentucky to really open things up offensively.

One of the things that Amoore specializes in is being able to find open shooters. If the defense puts their focus on her, then she can give others opportunities. Amoore is one of two Australians on the team, with the other being JUCO transfer Amelia Hassett.

While that may seem like an odd thing to take note of, Hassett actually mentioned that their ties to Australia have allowed them to create a bong together — one that helps their on-court chemistry as much as it does off the court.

She even noted that Amoore’s transfer to Kentucky played a bit of a factor in her decision to be a ‘Cat as well.

“Being able to play with such a great player like her, if they double her, she can find her players,” Hassett said.

She continued, “That bond is there, coming from Australia. We know each other, we know about Australia. So, it’s good to be able to bond with her over that — just working on our connection on the court.”

Hopefully, that connection translates into the form of wins.
