Former Kentucky men’s basketball star Bam Adebayo and his mother, Marilyn Blount, released a limited-edition bottle of Maker’s Mark on Thursday.

Labeled Bam & Marilyn’s 1 of 1, this custom bourbon blend contains notes of “vanilla and baking space, as well as toasted coconut, and a light bright aroma of honey suckle and clove.” This particular blend checks in with a proof of 112.2 and is being listed for sale at $69.99.

Adebayo and his mother returned to the Bluegrass in the summer to participate in the Maker’s Mark Private Selection program, which allows individuals and businesses to buy a barrel of bourbon and also create their own flavors.

“My mom is my inspiration on and off the court, and it was a great experience to create our own custom blend of Maker’s Mark,” Adebayo said in a press release. “Bam & Marilyn’s 1 of 1 celebrates what my mom and I both love best about the iconic Kentucky bourbon.”

Adebayo only spent one season in Lexington with the Kentucky Wildcats (2016-17), making the All-SEC Second Team along the way before entering his name into the 2017 NBA Draft where he was picked 14th overall by the Heat. He’s been in Miami ever since, having collected three All-Star and five All-Defensive Team nods. This season, the 6-foot-9 big man is averaging 16.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game for the Heat.

Now 27 years old, Adebayo is extending his brand into different businesses outside of basketball. And we love that there’s a Kentucky connection mixed in. Unfortunately for you local bourbon lovers, Adebayo’s special bottle is only available at a couple of stores in Miami. So unless you know a guy in South Florida, you’ll have a tough time adding this one to your collection.
