Kentucky wide receiver Barion Brown officially entered the transfer portal on Thursday after spending three seasons in the Lexington. The former top-100 recruit became the 11th scholarship player to leave the program this week. Mark Stoops’ roster overhaul is underway at the Joe Craft Football Training Facility.

Expect Barion Brown to receive a ton of interest when college football free agency officially begins on Monday. On3’s Pete Nakos reports that Florida State, LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M are all expected to be involved in this recruitment. The Bayou Bengals are considered the early leader.

Barion Brown heads to the transfer portal with 122 career receptions for 1,528 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Nashville (Tenn.) Pearl-Cohn product also has 195 career rushing yards with two more touchdowns. Brown became the best kick returner in college football with five return touchdowns in three seasons.

A star track sprinter in high school, Barion Brown clocked 10.49 seconds in the 100 meter. That was the fastest time in Tennessee since 1985. College football organizations are always looking for speed. Brown should have plenty of options.
