BBNBA: Bam Adebayo hits career-high three 3s as Heat win in Mexico
At Kentucky, Bam Adebayo was primarily a back-to-the-basket post-up big man, but in the NBA his game keeps evolving. His newfound versatility paved a path toward being an All-Star and helped win him the NBA Skills Challenge. Now, like a Swiss Army Knife with upgradable parts, Bam continues to add tools to his arsenal and his most recently acquired skillset has been shooting the 3. Adebayo knocked down a career-high three 3-pointers on Saturday in the Miami Heat’s blowout win over the Washington Wizards.
It was all part of a game-high 32-point scoring effort in just 31 minutes of action. Adebayo also grabbed 14 rebounds which was also a game-high.
The game took place in a small town of 22 million people called Mexico City, as the NBA (similar to the NFL) works on expanding its brand to the global market.
Tyler Herro was somewhat en fuego himself for the Heat, knocking down two 3s of his own on his way to 15 points.

Devin Booker’s near triple-double lifts Suns over Trail Blazers
Devin Booker is good at basketball, but somewhat surprisingly, the All-Star playmaker has never had a triple-double in the regular season. On Saturday he nearly ended that streak, but fell one rebound and one assist short of the feat. Book helped lift the Suns over the Portland Trail Blazers with 28 points, nine boards, and nine assists.
When asked whether he was paying attention to his stats approaching a triple-double during the game, Book said, “Nah, I’ve been close before, man. I don’t know if it’ll ever happen. I’ll take ‘em in the playoffs.” This was in reference to the fact his only triple-double came in the Western Conference semifinals against the Clippers in 2021.
One day, Book. One day.
Other BBNBA Stats:
- In the Minnesota versus San Antonio game, BBNBA members led both teams in scoring. Julius Randle had 21 points for the Wolves, while Keldon Johnson helped the Spurs win with 25.
- Tyrese Maxey continued his hot hand early in the season, as the former Kentucky guard poured in 23 points, although the Sixers lost to the Memphis Grizzlies.
- De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk, and Trey Lyles combined for 50 of the Sacramento Kings’ 128 points on Saturday. However, the team full of Kentucky stars lost to the Toronto Raptors, who are still playing without Immanuel Quickley.
